Founded in 2016 in tribute to the legacy of Samrat Ashoka. Our festival’s mission is to celebrate socially-conscious cinema, focusing on pressing issues like casteism, racism, and global gender inequality.
Every year, we honor 100 filmmakers from around the world, recognizing their creative contributions to cinema.
USP of BIFF 2025-26
Every month, we announce the Top 10 films from the festival for their exceptional and remarkable contributions to cinema from around the world. Filmmakers will receive an e-certificate and an official selection laurel, which they can use to promote their films. This way, filmmakers won’t have to wait a year for the festival results.
